How to get to Seaside Glass Villas Kemi?
If you are flying from Helsinki you can either fly to Kemi (it has a very small airport and the duration of the flight is around an hour) or you can go on the night train known as the Santa Claus Express. Kemi is also called sea Lapland as its the only place in Lapland that is next to the sea.

Seaside Glass Villas Kemi Apartments
There are three types of apartments available at Seaside Glass Villas Kemi.
Villa Loft
Villa Lofts are located in the third row with a partial sea view.
The villa loft is a two-storey loft with a part sea view. It has a kitchenette, bathroom and a private sauna. This is the most expensive type of apartment. It is for 2 persons max.
- Kitchenette with microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle, plates, glasses, coffee mugs, cutlery
- 2 armchairs (can be transformed into extra beds)
- WC, shower, sauna
- Air conditioning, the rooms are heated
Seafront Premium Villa
Seafront premium villas are located in the first row next to the sea with the sea view. Extra beds are available for these villas. Some of the rooms are pet-friendly.
This seafront premium villa has an unobstructed sea view with a bathroom and kitchenette.
- Kitchenette with microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle, plates, glasses, coffee mugs and cutlery
- Table and chairs
- WC and shower
- Air conditioning, the rooms are heated. When it is really cold you can get a radiator for the apartment.
- Wardrobe
Superior Villa
Superior Villas are located in the second row with a partial sea view, villas are otherwise exactly the same as in the first row. Some of the rooms are pet-friendly.
The superior villa although it has the same interior as the seafront premium villa the view is obstructed by other apartments and therefore has a partial sea view. This is the cheapest option for apartments.

Seaside Glass Villas Kemi Price
Being such a unique place to stay it does however come with a pretty hefty price tag. I would say for the experience it is worth it for the view alone. For a little bit more money I would get the villa that doesn’t have the obstructed view of the sea to get the full experience.

The Seaside Glass Villas Kemi is considered a modern-day version of a glass igloo in Lapland.
Snow Experience 365
The Snow Experience 365 is included in your stay at the seaside glass villas Kemi and I would go to. The Snow Experience 365 is open all year around (hence the 365 part) and has real snow and ice sculptures. The theme of the Snow Experience 365 does change, when I went it was a fairytale castle theme.
They even have an ice slide (which was so much fun) ice tables where you have your starter and an ice bar.
Snow Experience 365 Tickets
Tickets to the Snow Experience 365 are included in your stay however if you aren’t staying at the seaside glass villas Kemi you will need to pay €18 for adults and €10.80 for children.
Icebreaker Sampo Cruise
If you are looking to do something unique whilst staying at Seaside Glass Villas Kemi I would highly recommend an icebreaker sampo cruise with ice floating. You will begin with a tour of the icebreaker and then go ice floating. For those who have no idea what ice floating is you are fully clothed and wear this orange suit that not only keeps you completely dry it also makes you float on the ice. Although this is quite an expensive experience it is (in my opinion) 100% worth it as there is nothing quite like it.
Restaurant Lumihiutale
Restaurant Lumihiutale is located in the main building where Snow Castle 365 is located. It has seasonal menus and beautiful sea views throughout the year.

- Hot water is limited to 13 minutes before it runs out. It then takes an hour to reheat.
- Breakfast is included however you do need to walk outside to the main building.

I loved my stay at the Seaside Glass Villas Kemi due to its uniqueness. I have never stayed in a glass igloo before. I went in January and the sea was completely frozen so you could walk on it. Included in your stay is breakfast as well as entry to the Snowcastle. If you are around Kemi I would highly recommend staying here.
