There is also a charge for each additional 24 hours of £45. This short stay car park is located opposite the terminal and is therefore the most convenient place to park.

Southend Airport short stay car park is the only car park with a waiting shelter and can therefore get very busy when the weather is bad.

Southend Airport Long Stay Car Park Prices
Southend Airport has 3 long stay car parks. For the best value, it is advised that you pre-book parking before you arrive. However, there are parking options available if you decide to park on the day of travel.
Long stay car park 1: £35 for 24 hours
Long stay car park 2: £30 for 24 hours
Long stay car park 3: 0-15 minutes is free. £30 for 24 hours.
Blue Badge Parking at Southend Airport
For pick up and drop are the same as above. You can get a 15-minute drop off at Southend Airport Long Stay 3 car park or use the short stay car park where charges apply.
For parking, there are blue badge bays in Southend Airport long stay car parks 1 and 2. Note that long stay 1 blue badge is closer to the terminal than long stay 2. It is advised to prebook however you can just turn up on the day.

Southend Airport Drop Off how to get dropped off for free
Head to Southend Airport long stay 3 car park (be aware that Southend airport has a long stay 1 and 2 car park as well) where you will get 15 minutes to drop off passengers for free within a 24-hour period. Southend long stay car park 3 is approximately 200m from the terminal building and should take 3-5 minutes to walk.

Southend Airport to London
By train:
There is a train station at Southend Airport and it can get you to London Liverpool Street in just 52 minutes and Stratford in 43 minutes. They have 6 peak trains an hour running to the heart of the city and has straight forward connections to the new Elizabethan line to get you anywhere in London.
Buying a ticket for the train is very easy as it is all contactless through the ticket vending machines at arrivals. The self-service ticket machines are in operation 24 hours a day.
By Bus:
The X30 bus goes from Southend to Stansted Airport going through Chelsmford. This is the first bus service and you can find the timetable here. Tickets are contactless onboard you can just tap when you hop on.
The bus stop is next to the Holiday Inn, a short walk from the Southend Airport terminal.
Other Routes include:
Route 7: Landwick / Great Wakering to Rayleigh station via Shoeburyness, Thorpe Bay, Southend Airport, Rochford, Ashingdon.
Route 8: Landwick / Great Wakering to Rayleigh station via Shoeburyness, Thorpe Bay, Southend Airport, Rochford, Hawkwell.
The section of the route from Landwick and Great Wakering runs from Monday to Saturday only. The Sunday service starts and terminates at Shoeburyness.
Route 9: Shoeburyness to Rayleigh via Thorpe Bay, Southend Airport, Eastwood.
These are all run by Arriva Bus.
By Taxi:
Andrew’s Taxis is the official taxi service at Southend Airport and you can contact them at +44 (0) 1702 200 200.
Andrew’s Taxis also offer a late-night share taxi scheme if your flight has been delayed and the last train has departed. The cost is £27.50 per person for a minimum of 4 people. If there are fewer people it will cost £110 shared between the passengers.
